What kind of VPN? I use a Cisco > VPN with the stock vpnc, and had no problems after an upgrade. Sure, I used the pptp driver. One difference from before is that I previously had to unselect "Exclusive device access", but that option has dissappeared from the network manager applet in 8.10. > Is it possible that there was an upgrade to vpnc that overwrote your > original /etc/vpnc/default.conf file? Good idea. I still have a 8.04 machine running, and will try to get VPN working there. Then I will compare the config files in /etc. If it still doesn't work I will probably check if it works with the live CD, and then reinstall from scratch instead of upgrading. Cheers, Johan
