Thanks for the explanation. Are there any known bugs in the way 
Thunderbird handles a "301 Moved Permanently" request? I use that to 
create user friendly URLs the same way that Wikipedia does.

I'm really grasping at straws because I can not see any reason why my 
RSS feed will not work in Thunderbird.
