Errr...maybe you want to go back and review the history and then decide
if this is proof. Motorola's chip was the 6800, selling (like the other
guys) at about $175 a pop when MOS Technology came out with the 6502
selling at $25 per unit. There's a very interesting story behind that,
but it doesn't come out proving that Motorola was ever really far ahead
of everyone else in the CPU business, albeit they made chips with pretty
nice architectures.

Much better than what? The competition? If so, what made it (what the
heck, the entire series) so much better than the National Semiconductor
16032, 32032, etc.?
