Just a side note here: I've been in quite a few software companies
in the past years and i can tell you that although i'm not a good
programmer myself, the code i've seen there... well i would have
been to embarrassed to show it to other people if i'd have written
anything like that. On the contrary in the OSS field where many
hobbists, never formaly trained in the art of writing code are
far better programmers than their "professional" counterparts.
(i assume that it's mostly because of the extensive peer review
system employed in OSS)
