What makes you think so? That has not been my experience, but if
something is wrong with the docs, I may be in a position to fix them.

True, but Scott was referring to forum posts, which are just other
users trying to solve problems and (hopefully) posting their solutions
and/or work-arounds when they have done.

Gentoo has plenty of good documentation that tells you what the spec is.
