TLUG,
Zareason.com now has this ultra-portable laptop: http://www.zareason.com/shop/product.php?productid=16169&cat=0&page=1
I think it's pretty cool. Has everything I need, and the price ain't bad.
Except that a 800X480 screen just seems way too small. When I look at where the monitor is and see that fat border and webcam on one side, I just think there should be more screen there.
I mention it because I'm looking for a light portable laptop, something like the "Cloudbook" above. But, the screen should be capable of 1024x786, or thereabouts.
The best laptops I've seen for weight and screen size are some of the Panasonic "Let's Note" series. But they come with a hefty 200,000 yen price tag.
I'm just pitching out these ideas here on this list because I've often found that when I talk about computers and where and what to buy, people on this list often have good suggestions for sources I haven't seen yet.
So if anyone knows of a good model of laptop, or a good store to check, please let me know.
