Emacs.  Finish with Emacs too.  And get an LCD ftp client, and then
hide it behind XEmacs/EFS or GNU Emacs/angeftp.

Just use OpenSSL, and hide that behind Emacs/TRAMP.

Emacs is NOT for everyone, but it IS for everything. ;-)
