Thank you for replying.
So, Godwin says 60,000+ emails can choke server resources, and Stephen says that won't happen.
Godwin, would you care to elaborate on why you think the resources would be limited, or comment on what Stephen said?
Stephen, thank you for the tips on how to remove the mails. Actually, I went through and deleted them via a webmail interface. While on the one hand it did involve a bit of manual labour, I figured it would safely handle the delete processes. Since I've been having trouble, I didn't really want to get "under the hood", so to speak, by accessing things from the command line where there was a danger I might cause trouble with my limited understanding of what I'm doing.
