I likewise have given considerable thought to this issue, and the points raised by Keith, Scott, and CL (et al.) The main ones seem to be. * subject line length too long - limit the prefix tags to type and level tags and embed other tags in the flow of the subject content. * difficult to finding the appropriate tag - solution would be to not use a category tag if you don't know or want to check which ones are being used.
