I'm not calling you a poor engineer. I'm just taking issue with what I
perceive to be your argument that it's not possible to do substantial
rewrites on software late in the development stage at relatively low
cost.

If you're saying this *can* be done, we're in agreement. If you're
saying it *can't* be done, well, I have proof otherwise.
