Dear signatory of the <NO>OOXML petition,
Thank you for having signed the petition. Nevertheless, it is only a small
step in the process of defeating the broken Microsoft OOXML to become an ISO
standard. Microsoft is spending a lot of money to get an ISO stamp for their
broken standard.
I am looking for people to be active on the Microsoft OOXML ISO ballot in
Japan, and as you are really few that have signed (36), it is very important
that you do something there.
Japan is a P-member, which means that they have an obligation to *vote*, and
thus they have probably a technical committee in place to deal with the issue.
Would it be possible for you to contact by phone or email (phone is the best)
your Standardisation Body JISC (Tel: +81 3 35 01 94 71, isojisc@example.com)
and ask them the following questions:
1. When is the deadline to submit comments on the proposed DIS29500 standard?
2. Who is member of the Technical Committee that is advising the position of
the coutnry on this issue?
3. Is it still possible to join the Technical Committee?
If you available to help, please let me know.
Best regards,
