[tlug] Grub: "quiet"

Anybody know what Grub's "quiet" command does? (The stand-alone command,
not the kernel option given to vmlinux.)
I can't find it in the docs, and when running Unix-hosted command-line
grub, "help quiet" dumps core. (This bug was reported in Ubuntu 6; nice
to see that they've left it in there.)
