Hi Darren, It's not just the "Gzh" of the processor that gives you performance- it's also the bus speed (how fast and how wide the pipe is to RAM), the configuration of cache L1 and L2, etc that determines how fast your computer will run. There's a lot of useful info on CPU speed comparison here: http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/03/26/the_gigahertz_battle/ Celeron processors (if I remember correctly) use a different architecture as everyone else, and they are notoriously slow in my experience - so I'd personally avoid them if possible.
