TLUG,
Whenever I boot, there's this error that appears on screen. It usually
flickers by so fast I don't really see it. But recently I was able to
actually see it long enough to record it.
It says:
PCI: BIOS Bug: MCFG area is not E820-reserved
PCI: Not using MMCONFIG
The term "BIOS Bug" sounds very scary. But, on the other hand, my
computer has been working just swell. At least, every problem I've ever
had has been resolved on the OS or application level.
Of course the first thing I did was Google the terms of the error.
Oddly, all it really came up with was all these guys posting their boot
logs, but no one seemed to have much in the way of commentary or
explanation of it. Certainly not in any form I could understand.
So... should I be concerned at all about this?
