I just sent a message to my wife's DoCoMo cellphone with the following header
info:
To: ************@??
Subject: Test =?utf-8?b?6Kmm6aiT5pS+6YCB?=
Date: Thu, 1 Mar 2007 14:02:35 +0900
User-Agent: KMail/1.9.5
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain;
charset="utf-8"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
And guess what, she could read the Japanese just fine. Like I said, it's only
older models that lack UTF-8 support. I have been working on cellphone
software-related work for years, and remember when they started getting
Unicode support.
