Of course there are similarities, but implementation and
administration diverge greatly. In short, there aren't any short cuts.
You will need to learn each OS, their respective terminology,
concepts, ect.  Especially, if you want to do well at your new role;
nevermind not being able to explain the concepts during an interview.
