It turns out that gems really suck for applications (i.e. things that want to go in your bin dir of preference).No ebuilds at the moment, but that would be really cool if you wrote them!
And I'll do my part and make sure Edward's ebuilds, once submitted to Bugzilla, make it rapidly into Portage. Edward, why don't you reply to this email (on list) with the bug IDs?
