Yup, all 3G phones use a FAT-formatted card, so that you can share photos and shite easily between two phone.
My 3G phone has a USB mass storage mode, which I had to select from a ridiculously buried menu, but once I did, it showed up as a regular SCSI-emulated device (e.g. /dev/sda or whatever). Maybe you'll be lucky and your does too.
