RMS pretty certainly has heard about it as he gave the keynote at the HOPE conference in the Summer where Robert Steele the chief proponent of OSI ( c.f http://www.oss.net ) also gave a talk (c.f www.hope.net). Basically it refocus from spending lots of money trying to discover secrets to spending money on people who actually read and analyse the information that is already out there in the open and understand it's significance.

remove it, you have to do : # rm ./-thefile
