Please note that these positions are *extremely* junior. They do not
require much previous IT experience. They are, however, a good gateway
into the wonderful world of Amazon, and allow lots of opportunity for
advancement and learning new skills.

Job Title:
 Junior IT Technician

Summary Description:
 Amazon.co.jp is seeking a Junior IT Technician for the Ichikawa
Fulfilment Centre, reporting to the IT Manager. This is a great
opportunity for an individual who is looking to move into a specific
 technical career. You will have the opportunity to expand your
technical abilities and be trained to take responsibility for certain
equipment |within the FC environment.
 Responsibilities include: allocation and maintenance of IT
equipment, including check in/check out, troubleshooting, asset
management, inventory control, and RMA; Server room / rack
inspections; basic maintenance of terminals, PC applications, and
printers; testing of damaged equipment and control of RMA process;
shadowing Senior Technicians and providing assistance as needed;
helping with big projects which could include large floor
moves/builds, network conversions, and general IT projects under the
supervision of other technicians and the IT manager.
 The successful candidate will also need to be able to coordinate the
troubleshooting of complex problems involving telecommunications
equipment configuration, revocation, wiring and organisation
(excluding advanced wiring). The candidate will need to be able to
perform initial troubleshooting, then facilitate communication between
the engineers and the users to see the issue through to its
resolution.
 We are looking for a well-organised person who will proactively look
for ways to contribute to Amazon, not only in Japan, but worldwide.

Essential Skills:
1. Basic hardware and software troubleshooting skills
2. Knowledge of basic networking concepts
3. Japanese - can understand descriptions of problems from native
speakers and manage basic communication (JLPT level 3 or higher)
4. Prior technical experience a plus
5. English - basic or better (TOEIC 600 or higher)

Experience:
 1 year, PC or IT systems end-user support

Supervision:
 Reports to IT Manager
