Kmerge is known to be broken (from kernel-traffic in August, so it
probably still is), in that it assumes a fairly recent GNU patch
output format.  It specifically doesn't like git output, and surely
would like darcs even less.

If you're doing small or very dynamic trees, this doesn't much matter,
you can use GNU diff and win.  But if you've got a large tree most of
which is static most all the time, git diff just whups GNU butt up and
down the street.  (Of course you need to check everything into git,
but that's not a bad idea most of the time, anyway.)
