[tlug] open source software for project management?

Hi,

Can somebody recommend a software for project management (something
similar to Microsoft Project)? Googling I found dotproject, but it
requires apache/mysql/php. I would like some application that does not
require any backend to run. I also found a long list at
http://proj.chbs.dk/ , so I would like somebody's recommendation in
order to choose one
