I noted this as well when I received the digest.
Apparently mails can come and go in any encoding, the digest seems to
just lump together all the different mails into a ISO-8859-1 one.
Given the amount of Japanese (and other languages?) posted on this group
it would seem beneficial if the digest mails would be converted to UTF-8
and then lumped together.
Any possibility of this?
