Re: [tlug] Here we go with the Palm Pilot

Godwin,
There you have it right in front of your eyes.
Tell jpilot to use /dev/ttyUSB1 and you'll be set.

Ah, were only life so easy.
I opened J-Pilot, went to File | Preferences | Settings, and set the "Serial Port" field to "/dev/ttyUSB1". I press the sync button on the Pilot, then the sync button in the J-Pilot interface, nothing happens. I also try the reverse of pressing the sync button in J-Pilot first, and that's no different.

On the Palm Pilot, it eventually times out and says the connection could not be established.

In J-Pilot, in the "backup" screen, it says:

pi_bind error: /dev/ttyUSB1 No such file or directory
Check your serial port and settings
Exiting with status SYNC_ERROR_BIND
Finished
****************************************
Syncing on device /dev/ttyUSB1
Press the HotSync button now
****************************************
pi_bind error: /dev/ttyUSB1 No such file or directory
Check your serial port and settings
Exiting with status SYNC_ERROR_BIND
