anthy/scim are in Fedora extras for FC4. I don't know if CentOS has 
anything similar. Anyway, the Fedora packages should work on CentOS, I 
think. Here's what I have in /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-extras.repo:

I had the same problem when I forgot to install scim-anthy. Here's the 
list of files for the package, you might want to check if you are not 
missing any of these (/usr/lib64/ => /usr/local/lib, etc.):
