I tried that, but nothing happened - no error message, no anything....

.... so, I tried this:

I went to "User Manager" (in System via K Menu), which asks for a
password to "Run as root - KDE se".  I entered the one password I had,
and then under "User" and "Set Password" I set a new password.

Now - I can get into the same "Run as root - KDE su" bit with either
password!!!  So now I've just decreased security by making two paths
to root?  What in the world is going on with this?
