I think it is highly unlikely that that mode is what you want. :-)
As someone said, you should use xrandr to set the rotation, but
unfortunately it seems like many drivers don't support that feature (yet).

at least the proprietary nvidia drivers does support it, but you
have to explicitly enable it first. (Option "RandRRotation" "on")
