Matt, I agree with Chuck that you should look in the archives, to which I can now add that my Samsung SCX-4100 laser printer, stand alone copier (enlarge/shrink, 2 up, etc), and scanner works great with CUPS. Debian is not explicity supported and the installer complains, but can be pushed to install anyway. Its a great little machine. But no fax modem, not that I want one. Just pick one up the next time you are out of the country, because they are not sold here, AFAI can find out. I tried hard to find a non-ink jet, reasonable priced unit here, including calling some gaijin specialists, and concluded that there was nothing at all Linux friendly, and indeed nothing at all close to the us$ 145 price, after the $50 rebate. (for a laser, and a scanner, and a stand-alone copier-- incredible.) Now, can anyone tell me how to get my Mozilla etc to print to CUPS? Only KDE apps seem to be able to do that. The printer is great, its just that I know nothing about CUPS (or any other Linux printing.) David Riggs, Kyoto
