I received an email from someone who had seen my page on *nix in
Japanese.  

Apparently, they don't have a CD burner but would be interested in
trying several Linux distributions.  

They asked me did I know if anyone had some extra CDs of various distros
(the ones mentioned were Gentoo, Mandriva, Slack, Deb, FC2, Mepis
and Knoppix.  He said he was willing to pay costs but hoped it wasn't
too expensive.  

He's in Tosu City, Saga Prefecture.  So, if anyone can help, drop me a
line off-list and I'll pass his address along.

(After the discussion of American spelling, I tried off list, off-list
and offlist, though I'm too lazy to pick up a dictionary.  I was going
to change it to "privately" but thought that would be too cowardly.)
