mplayer likes to run on ia32; it performs very poorly on other architectures.

When I was using my Indy as my primary workstation, I wrote mips3 optimizations
for mplayer (yes, it's possible to hook a DVD-ROM to an Indy; needs one of
those bloody SCSI/ATAPI converters).  Using asm made a huge difference in
performance, but the X server couldn't keep up, so I abandoned the project.
