Moreover, Inferno was a project to make Lucent money. The managers at Lucent wanted to maximize their IP and develop something that they could sell off. Plan 9 and Inferno have more in common than NetBSD and OpenBSD. ;-) My earlier answer was a marketoid answer. Actually, you can get Inferno running on things other than embedded systems. And you can run Plan 9 on embedded systems. That'll teach me to make snappy remarks too. ;-) Or not to reply when tired. -uva
