I suppose that you have your own reasons for going this route, but I'll mention anyhow, that rather than using the Stable installer and upgrading to Testing, I've been using the Testing (Sarge) Beta Installer, and have Debian installed on four different machines without any trouble. If you do this, you don't have to go through the trouble of installing Woody and then doing an upgrade--unless you want to install Testing and then upgrade to Unstable--which is what I've been doing. http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/ Chuck --------------------------- Charles Muller Toyo Gakuen University Faculty of Humanities 1660 Hiregasaki, Nagareyama-shi Chiba 270-0161 JAPAN Mobile Phone: 090-9310-1787 Web Site: Resources for East Asian Language and Thought http://www.acmuller.net <acmuller_@example.com> (remove underscores before using)
