"Using Wolverine as a VPN and firewall" by Benjamin Kowarsch 2. "Personal information management" by Sacha Chua Benjamin Kowarsch will talk about the Wolverine project and how to use the VPN and firewall functions it includes. Depending upon how the presentation goes this talk may segue into discussions about opportunistic encryption and VPNs. How do you keep track of the things you need to do? Post-it notes? Text files? // TODO comments? Groupware? Sacha Chua will share some ways of keeping track of tasks, appointments and notes under Linux. She'll talk about advantages, disadvantages, and implementation tips for alternatives to mainstream PIMs such as Evolution and KOrganizer, from ~/TODO files all the way up to wikis. She is also looking forward to hearing people gripe about existing PIMs or think of features they'd like to have, and hopes to steal particularly cool ideas for the Emacs-based PIM she maintains. Come and compare notes about how you keep track of things. Who knows, you might find some of the ideas nifty. Other items on the agenda are: 1. Introduction of new members, news about Linux/Open Source, general announcements, Q&A 2. Auction All Linux users and supporters of open source code and free software are invited to attend this Tokyo Linux Users Group (TLUG) meeting. Membership is open to anyone. There are no membership dues or entrance fees. After the meeting, we will continue chatting over a few beers. About TLUG ---------- TLUG is a non-profit, non-political organization established in June of 1994 to exchange information on the use of Linux and Free Software Foundation tools. TLUG has an active mailing list, home page, and regular physical meetings. Discussions are primarily held in English, but non-English speakers are encouraged to come and participate. We especially want to encourage Japanese people to attend and will make efforts to support a bilingual meeting. TLUG hosts technical meetings every odd month on the 2nd Saturday, and nomikai's every even month on the 3rd Friday.
