Only when someone reports a problem.  There is rarely anything
in them except people misspelling list names or looking for
old lists.

As long as the mail server is running smoothly, I don't see
things being shuffled to the shunt queue.  What is causing
it in your case?  Mail server problems?  Character set
mismatches?

Unless you are using a patched version, it would be a good idea
to update to 2.1.5.  (The fixes are not related to your messages
being held however.)

If you've solved what caused them to get held in the first
place, you can use the 'bin/unshunt' tool to requeue them.
