I managed to install debian from a USB cdrom by first booting up with the boot cd, then installing the correct network card drivers and finally doing a network install. I recall that I couldn't do a cdrom install because for some reason I couldn't access the cdrom drive once the kerel was booted. This may have been a limitation in the kernel I was using at the time, I never did figure it out. Hope this helps, Ben
