Unfortunately, your T616 will not work here as there are no public GSM
networks available to use.

You can buy a prepaid mobile phone at many of the convenience stores here,
which will probably pay for itself if you plan on being here for 3 months.
They range from 10,000 to 15,000 usually with about 3,000 yen or so of
calling time included.  Also, incoming calls are free, so you only pay
for the outgoing calls.

It looks like we have a nomikai planned for the 11th of June and a tech
meeting on the 10th of July...
