Yes Samba is actually the 3.02 version (I'm using Debian Unstable).

Other infos that maybe can be useful:
I've recompiled the kernel with the mppe patch to use pptp.
The actual kernel is 2.6.4 and (of course) I've enable the CIFS module too.
