- Subject: [tlug] Problem with MAN command and KDE 3.2
Hello again, I have a question about the man command.
In console(bash) works without problems instead in KDE3.2 under Konsole (but
I have tried also with the term of gnome) I have the following error
message:
invalid charset name
man: command exited with status 256: /usr/bin/zsoelim /tmp/zmanzGEYud |
/usr/bin /tbl | /usr/bin/nroff -mandoc -Tascii8 | iconv -c -f
ISO-8859-1 -t EUC-JP | less
the default Locale in Kde console is ja_jp but if I change it putting
LANG=en_us for example
the problem still remain. I have looked for some info on the net but
nothing. I think is still
probably a charset problem, but again I tried also different locales. The
default language for
KDE3.2 actually is english because Japanese is not available yet. Any Clue?
Thanks in advance
Alex
