If you use Adobe's Acrobat Distiller to create the PDFs, one 
of its options is whether you want to embed the font subset 
used in the document or not.  The default is NOT to embed, 
but if you uncheck this and embed (assuming that you are 
not using expensive -- and non-embeddable -- fonts), then 
displaying the original fonts (rather than an Adobe approxi-
mation of what Adobe thinks they look like) should not be 
an issue.
