[tlug] RH8 updates: no 'fixed' font prevents X startup

A couple of us have had trouble starting X after this week's
RedHat 8.0 updates.  The problem is that the permissions on
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/fonts.dir are tightened so much
that xfs (running as the 'xfs' user) can't read it.  Changing
the permissions of that file (back) to 0644 allows you to
launch X.
