That is, is the transfer slow from subnet >A to subnet B and also from subnet B to subnet A, or is it slow in one >direction but not the other? It is symmetrical. Though to be honest I see weird numbers sometimes. From A to B is sometimes fast sometimes slow, and from B to A is also sometimes fast sometimes slow. >2) Is transfer between machines fast on both subnets or is it slow even >between machines on one of them? The intra-subnet speeds are ok. >3) If the problem is assymetrical, is the one that is slow the same one >that is slow from the Internet cafe? Even though the problem is symmetrical one subnet has a slow connection speed form the Internet cafe. >4) Are there multiple machines on each subnet, or just one each? If >multiple, does the problem affect them all? There are multiple machines on each subnet, 5 On A and 2 on B. I've tested: - all 5 to machine B-1 - one from A to machine B-2 The results were the same. A to/from B is slow. From the Internet cafe connecting to machine B-1 gives about 1.2Mbps while connecting to a machine on A gives about 300kbps. Does that help?
