I can say I have read about many accounting, journalizing etc. on freshmeat.
There are some very nice looking programs like sql ledger and Compiere, but
I have never tried any on them.  It is on my to do list in the next few
weeks to evaluate some.  If anyone has any personal experiences, I am
interested.
