Re: [tlug] Request for advice on how to hire bi-lingual developers in Tokyo

Firstly let me say that I completely respect your point that this is a
technical list and that recruiting is not it's purpose. I will not
post any more about the job.

My first post to the list was a genuine request for advice about how
best to find good people (actually this was my second post as you
point out - my first did bounce but only because I sent it from an
e-mail address other than the one I initially subscribed to the list
under). I was hoping that people would come back with comments based
on their experiences in trying to find good people here in Tokyo.

I thought long and hard before I posted again - since I suspected that
I'd get flamed - but the responses to post #1 seemed to suggest that
more detail about the technical environment and the technologies
involved was what people really want, so I thought I'd push the boat
out a bit and describe them.

I do not deny that I hoped that list subscribers might read that and
think "hmm ... that sounds interesting" but I never first "asked for
help" while ultimtely intending to post a job ad. It was purely a
reaction to the responses I got to post #1.

So I'm sorry if my actions caused any offence and I hope that I can
participate in this list's primary technical purpose over the months
to come.
