hi, i am using the gnome desktop and have two problems with the gnome terminal copy&paste. 1) i always have to select paste twice (from the edit menu) for the selected text to be pasted. why? 2) the other day something irregular must have happened, because now suddenly it doesn't seem to copy the selected text onto the clipboard anymore, and, what's more, after the /first/ paste command (from the edit menu) it pastes these old clipboard contents instead of the selected text. i have tried a number of things like resetting the terminals etc. for problem 2 i am looking for a solution that doesn't require me to restart x (if possible). thanks in advance, -mario
