It should be set before starting kterm. It is not necessary to set it before starting kinput2. But because it is tedious to always set this manually when you start kterm, it is more convenient to set it for example in ~/.xinitrc and export it, then it is already set for your whole X11 session, i.e. it is already set in the environment when you start kterm. -- Mike Fabian <mfabian@example.com> http://www.suse.de/~mfabian 睡眠不足はいい仕事の敵だ。
