Anyway > I'm doing it. If you already made it ext3, then you don't need to do that, but I'm not sure if you really made it ext3. If you did, it should not have to be fscked at startup. That's why journaling filesystems are good - they don't need that. Please post your /etc/fstab to the list so we can see what you have in there. Since you chose ext3 during install, it sounds like you are running the beta for the upcoming Red Hat 7.2 release. Are you running beta 1 or beta 2? This in itself could be some of your trouble. Beta stuff is usually less stable than release stuff [1] and is out there for wide area testing. You might want to consider using Red Hat 7.1 release if this problem doesn't go away. Jonathan [1] Although the beta versions for RH 7.1 were all more stable (in my experience) than 7.0 release, which - as is common for Red Hat - was as buggy as you would expect one of their point-zero releases to be.
