Every rescue floppy I have says:===============================================Loading ...........................................................................................(All lines omitted)Kernel panic : VFS : Unable to mount root fs on 03:01===============================================So, it gives me no help. It seems a problem about file systems. My HD was FAT32-FDISKed and then incidentally FAT16-FDISKed after Windows was deleted. Even I tried an old bootable CD-ROM of Slackware 3.6 and its boot floppies I was familier with.Again, my purpose is simply to boot Linux normally from a CD-ROM. Give me chips of help.Hoshino----- Original Message -----From: hatsuhiroTo: tlug@example.comSent: Tuesday, September 04, 2001 3:28 PMSubject: Re: boot errorThanks for some quick responses, but I'm trying the 1st time setup, using a bootable CD-ROM. It's weird to me.Hoshino----- Original Message -----From: hatsuhiroSent: Tuesday, September 04, 2001 1:25 PMSubject: boot errorI'm perplexed in the error shown below. What's going on? Please inform me of how to get rid of this trouble. Or, tell me which document I should take a look at.
