That should be "IMPS/2" if you are using an Intellimouse as you say

I personally prefer to use /dev/input/mice or /devfs/input/mice.
But that may be 2.4 only.
It has the advantage that it works with USB mice too and
GPM works better with X if both use this device, and I tend to use
the text mode console a lot so I don't want to do without GPM.
