Can you give an example what exactly doesn't work? Does it happen
in all applications or only in kterm?

I am using XFree86 4.0.2, glibc 2.2, and kinput2 v3.1alpha1. Seems to
work fine.

What do you mean by "XMODIFIERS setting doesn't match the current
LOCALE setting"?
