Omega doesn't work out of the box on my Debian system and the documentation provided is ancient. The docs for odvips and oxdvi are just links to the regular TeX versions. There is no man page for lambda! "lambda simple-m17n-lambda-test" produces no errors but a DVI with no instructions to output the Japanese characters that are definitely in the TeX source. I can't recommend that to Gerhard! I'm not sure _I_ want to deal with it. CJK doesn't work out of the box either, but that's a Debian packaging issue in my case and much easier to fix (install a font). -- University of Tsukuba Tennodai 1-1-1 Tsukuba 305-8573 JAPAN Institute of Policy and Planning Sciences Tel/fax: +81 (298) 53-5091 _________________ _________________ _________________ _________________ What are those straight lines for?
